Software Engineer, Full-Stack

at Respan

What we’re building
Respan is building the self-driving observability and evals platform for AI teams, used by 60+ YC companies and hundreds of AI teams.

The role

You will work on everything from the backend tracing pipeline and eval framework to the React dashboard that thousands of AI teams use daily. We are a small team, so you will own features end-to-end. This role is for someone who is comfortable jumping between Python and TypeScript, cares about both system design and user experience, and wants to ship things that matter every week.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and ship product features across the full stack (React, Next.js, Python, PostgreSQL)
  • Design and implement APIs, data pipelines, and real-time systems
  • Collaborate directly with founders and customers to scope and prioritize work
  • Own features from design through deployment and iteration
  • Contribute to infrastructure decisions and system architecture

What you must have:

  • Strong experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js or Python
  • Comfortable building and deploying production web applications
  • Ability to move fast and ship iteratively in an early-stage environment

Strong plus:

  • Experience with data-intensive applications or observability tools
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, or similar databases
  • Background in developer tools or B2B SaaS
  • Good instincts for product and user experience
