Product Manager

Breadcrumb is a construction tool built for the people who actually build things. We replace paper-based processes with a digital tool that makes worksites safer, more connected and more compliant - in real time, in workers' hands.

From a 15-person start-up four years ago to a global team of 80+ with offices in Melbourne, London and San Francisco, we now serve over 1,000 construction companies and 1.5 million workers across ANZ, the UK, Ireland and North America. The role

As a Product Manager at Breadcrumb, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction, quality, and impact of our construction tech platform. This role is responsible for driving the product lifecycle end-to-end, from deep discovery and understanding customer problems, to defining requirements, prioritising roadmaps, and partnering with engineering to deliver high-value solutions. Sitting at the intersection of customer, business, and technology, you will ensure our product is intuitive, scalable, commercially impactful, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Work with leadership to define product vision, strategy, and key outcomes for your domain.

• Conduct customer and market research to uncover insights, validate problem statements, and identify new opportunities.

• Translate insights into clear product requirements, hypotheses, and prioritised roadmaps.

• Partner closely with Engineering to plan, scope, and deliver high-quality features and improvements.

• Facilitate cross-functional alignment across product, Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.

• Use data, analytics, customer feedback, and experimentation to guide decisions and validate solutions.

• Run structured discovery including interviews, problem mapping, A/B tests, and prototype validation.

• Communicate product direction, progress, and decisions to stakeholders and internal teams; ensure buy-in and alignment with proposed direction.

• Ensure clear go-to-market readiness by collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.

• Monitor product performance, identify risks, and continuously iterate to achieve business and customer outcomes.

• Stay up to date with SaaS, construction tech, and product management trends to keep Breadcrumb ahead of the curve; recommend improvement initiatives to continuously evolve our product.

What you'll bring

Experience

• Ideally 3+ years in Product Management or a related field: BA, Product Owner, UX, or Engineering backgrounds welcome

• A track record of delivering features end-to-end in a SaaS environment

• Experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced product teams

• Comfortable operating in ambiguous problem spaces and bringing structure where it's needed

Skills & knowledge

• Strong product discovery, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

• Excellent prioritisation across competing technical, commercial, and customer needs

• Clear, confident communication and able to influence and align both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Solid analytical capability with experience using data to drive decisions

• Skilled in agile planning, backlog management, and writing high-quality requirements

• Familiarity with API-driven architecture, integrations, and SaaS business models

• Comfort using AI tools like Claude or Cursor to accelerate research, prototyping, and delivery
