The Mannik & Smith Group (MSG) is seeking a full-time Structural Drafter
to join our team and work on impactful bridge and transportation projects
across Ohio. If you have a passion for producing precise, construction-ready
drawings and want to contribute to projects that improve communities, this
role is a perfect fit.
Key Responsibilities
As a Structural Drafter , you’ll be at the heart of our bridge design projects, producing high-quality construction documents and supporting the full design process:
- Develop and produce detailed drawings in MicroStation to meet ODOT and local agency standards
- Prepare construction plans ready for bidding and construction
- Assist with data preparation and quantity calculations for engineering plans
- Plot, collate, and compile plan sets for agency and construction submittals
- Support general office tasks such as document prep, scanning, and filing as needed
- Contribute to presentations and project deliverables, ensuring clarity and accuracy
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 5+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering drafting
- 2+ years of bridge design experience required
- Proficiency in MicroStation
- Experience with ODOT standards a plus
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
