** Be a part of the restaurant team and help deliver our signature dishes to our guests. This role is a vital link between our talented kitchen team and our exceptional servers, making sure our guests' orders are accurately prepared and swiftly delivered.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform a variety of entry-level restaurant tasks.
  • Assist in the final preparation of dishes, including adding garnishes and ensuring presentation standards
  • Responsible for inspecting dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation, and temperature.
  • Ensure food orders are served promptly and efficiently to the correct table in the restaurant while ensuring guest satisfaction and overall food quality.
  • Assist staff with tasks such as prepping dishes or running food to tables.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in positions involving customer service or food and beverage service is preferred for this job.
  • Must have or the ability to obtain a valid Alaska Food Handlers card.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23kg.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
  • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
  • Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
