In the role of Rail Design EIT/Coordinator , we'll count on you to:
- Support Rail Project Managers and Engineers to develop track and civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Take responsibility for civil and track engineering assignments, including drainage, structural and utilities tasks
- Develop design criteria, project guides, project meeting notes, and project controls while supporting Project Manager
- Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects
- Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
**Preferred Qualifications **
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
- Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
- Prefer basic knowledge of InRoads/InRail, OpenRail Designer, and/or Civil3D
- Interest in working with the rail industry, both freight and transit
