Planning:
- Work various shifts, weekends and overtime
- Meet attendance schedules with dependability and consistency
- Communicate with supervisors and other associates
- Work within a team and take direction from supervisors
- Understand and follow work and safety rules, operating instructions and procedures
Physical Action:
- Work in a physically demanding, loud industrial manufacturing environment
- Frequent lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 40 pounds
- Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping and standing for long periods
- Reach low and high ranges and exhibit normal balance and coordination
- Use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects and manipulate controls
- Walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces
- Work on/around heavy moving equipment/large machinery, conveying and pipe finishing systems, and equipment.
- Work in an environment that may be indoors/outdoors, cold/hot, with exposure to
dirt/dust/grit/fumes/chemicals and smoke. Selected Candidates will work in the area where molten iron is present.
- Hear, speak and use close and distance vision
Material, Facilities, and Location of Job:
- Uses all maintenance materials
- Uses all plant facilities and equipment
- Works throughout plant site
Tools and Equipment Used:
- Uses all tools and equipment needed to complete work
Preferred Qualifications
Team members who will support our McWane Way Culture. Team members will work together to make a quality product. Maintenance experience preferred.
- Proficient in welding, stick and mig.
- Ability to read prints for fabrication.
- Read hydraulic prints and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work from manlift in elevated areas.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions.
- Ability to operate Heavy Mobile equipment after receiving proper training.
