Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Provide safe, effective patient handling and restraint for a variety of species and temperaments
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Administer medications and support pharmacy and prescription fulfillment
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across the hospital treatment area
- Deliver attentive care for boarding patients , ensuring comfort and well-being
- Support diagnostics, treatment plans, and daily hospital operations
- Communicate clearly with team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Take initiative on projects and contribute to a high-functioning clinical team
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of veterinary experience preferred (assistant or technician-level)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong understanding of animal handling, clinical workflows, and patient care standards
- Excellent communication skills—both with clients and internal team members
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and perform under pressure
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout shifts
- Comfortable working in a clinical environment with potential exposure to zoonotic diseases
Bonus Points (Highly Valued Skills)
- Experience assisting in surgery, dental procedures, or anesthesia monitoring
- Familiarity with lab work, radiology, or inpatient care
- Credentialed or pursuing credentialing (RVT/LVT/CVT strongly encouraged)
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay: $14-16/hr, negotiable for Registered Veterinary Technician candidates based on experience and skill level.
