Responsibilities:
- Determine the proper and efficient approach to fabricate a requested part or assembly.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and participate in continuous improvement projects for 5S and safety.
- Operate and maintain MIG/TIG welding equipment for carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum welding.
- Communicate with work order requestors (engineers/managers) to define goals and ensure alignment on objectives and functionality of prototypes.
- Ensures quality of work prior to completing work order action closures.
- Assist in training team and engineering department members utilizing existing SOP’s (Standard operating procedures) and assist in creating new procedures as required.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment as required.
- Operate or learn to operate shop equipment including bandsaws, lathe, mill, drill press, shear with growth opportunity to operate advanced equipment such as CNC.
