Function/Program: Fire Protection
This position is a standard Fire fighter position. They respond to all hazards utilizing specialized equipment and PPE to mitigate emergencies as they unfold. These individuals conduct fire prevention activities to include fire inspections.
Job Description:
· Respond to all emergencies IAW organizational policies and procedures.
· Operate various emergency equipment required by the Scope of Practice.
· Inspect all emergency equipment, apparatuses, and personal protective equipment IAW organizational policies, procedures, and manufacturers recommendations.
· Conduct inspections IAW FM Global and organizational policies and procedures.
· Conduct inspections of fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, and associated fire protections systems IAW organizational policies and procedures.
· Assist with Public Fire Prevention and Education Programs to include but not limited to: Fire extinguisher training and fire drills.
· Participate in required training programs to meet the above certification standards. This may include specialized training for equipment purchased to perform required duties.
· Maintain all professional certifications.
· Ensures all reports, documents and records are completed IAW organizational policies and procedures.
· Properly plan, respond, mitigate and recover from multiple types of emergency situations as outlined by the Scope of Services.
· Properly inspect, maintain, and operate all provided emergency equipment IAW organizational policies, procedures, and manufacturers recommendations.
· Demonstrate professional conduct at all times.
