Job Summary

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is seeking qualified Pharmacy Technician to provide professional pharmacy services at FCC Pollock in Louisiana. This role supports adults in custody (AIC) by ensuring accurate medication dispensing, inventory control, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Services are provided under a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).

Primary Duties

The SOW requires contractor personnel to perform the following services:

• Reading and interpreting prescriptions and medication orders written by medical staff

• Selecting and retrieving medications

• Preparing prescriptions for pharmacist review prior to dispensing

• Providing patient instruction where appropriate

• Maintaining medication and medical supply inventories

• Preparing inventory paperwork for replenishment

• Removing outdated or expired stock

• Preparing compounded supply lists/orders for pharmaceuticals

• Maintaining pharmacy cleanliness and organization

• Maintaining stock of appropriate forms and supplies

• Utilizing Omnicell auto-dose packaging automation equipment

• Packaging bulk medications into appropriately labeled unit-dose packages

• Assisting with packaging and labeling prescriptions for remote pharmacy lock boxes

• Assisting with processing return-to-stock shipments

• Restocking medications as appropriate

• Complying with all federal, state, and local regulations applicable to duties performed

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: Base Year + 4 Option Years (Up to 5 years total)

Schedule

• Monday – Friday

• 8-hour shifts per day

• Not to exceed 40 hours per week

• Typical hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (CT)

• Occasional coverage may be required outside normal hours, including weekends or holidays, to support staffing gaps
