Independently operates and maintains one or more Class I, II, III, or IV wastewater treatment plants and lower classed plants, as well as tributary pumping plants; participates in the major overhaul, repair, and installation of treatment and pumping plant equipment; and performs other related duties as required. This level is characterized by its primary responsibility for operating and being in direct responsible charge of a Class IV wastewater treatment plant, as rated by the State Board of Certification of Operating Personnel in Wastewater Treatment Facilities.
