Job Description:
Senior Account Supervisor, Earned Media (Technology Communications)
Do you instinctively know which technology stories will capture attention and which reporters will care? Are you energized by helping innovative companies shape narratives, build credibility and earn meaningful media coverage that supports business goals?
As a Senior Account Supervisor, Earned Media at Zeno, you will lead earned media strategy and execution for technology brands spanning consumer, enterprise and emerging technology sectors. Working closely with clients, account teams and media partners, you will help shape stories, identify opportunities and secure coverage that strengthens reputation and drives business impact.
This role is ideal for a communications professional who combines strong media instincts with strategic thinking and relationship-building. You'll have the opportunity to lead high-profile media programs, counsel clients, mentor team members and contribute to the continued growth of Zeno's technology communications expertise.
About the Role:

Media Strategy & Program Leadership: Develop and execute earned media strategies that align with client objectives, business priorities and key communications moments across the technology landscape.

Technology Storytelling & Narrative Development: Help clients identify and shape compelling stories that showcase innovation, leadership and business impact while engaging key audiences and stakeholders.

Media Relations & Coverage Generation: Build and maintain relationships with technology, business and top-tier media while proactively identifying opportunities that generate meaningful coverage and visibility.

Executive Visibility & Spokesperson Support: Support executives and spokespeople through media opportunities, helping prepare messaging and ensure successful media engagements.

Client Leadership & Strategic Counsel: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing recommendations, navigating media opportunities and supporting communications strategies that drive results.

Industry Intelligence & Opportunity Identification: Monitor media, technology and cultural trends to identify emerging opportunities, risks and story angles that support client objectives.

Team Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative environment where people can learn, grow and do their best work.

Agency Thought Leadership & Media Expertise: Share media intelligence, best practices and industry insights that help strengthen earned media capabilities across the agency.
About You:

6+ years of experience in earned media, media relations, public relations or technology communications within an agency or other fast-paced environment.

Proven success building and maintaining relationships with technology, business and top-tier media.

Experience securing earned coverage across national, local, broadcast, print, digital and emerging media outlets.

Strong understanding of the technology media landscape across consumer, enterprise and B2B sectors.

Demonstrated ability to identify newsworthy stories and shape compelling narratives that resonate with media and stakeholders.

Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills, with experience developing media materials, presentations and strategic recommendations.

Experience counseling clients and contributing to earned media strategies and communications programs.

Strong presentation and communication skills with experience presenting recommendations to clients and internal teams.

Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders.

Collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.

Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.

Curiosity about the evolving role of earned media, technology innovation and the future of communications.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience securing executive interviews and thought leadership opportunities.

Experience supporting enterprise technology, consumer technology, AI or emerging technology brands.

Pay Range: $100,000 - $120,000 USD/yr.
An employee 's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region- specific benefits.
