Job Description:
Senior Account Supervisor, Earned Media (Corporate Clients)
Do you instinctively know which stories will break through and which reporters will care? Are you energized by helping organizations navigate the news cycle, build credibility and earn meaningful media coverage that supports business objectives?
As a Senior Account Supervisor, Earned Media at Zeno, you will lead earned media strategy and execution for some of the world's most recognized brands and organizations. Working closely with corporate communications teams, clients and media partners, you will help shape narratives, identify opportunities and drive coverage that strengthens reputation and supports business goals.
This role is ideal for a communications professional who combines strong media instincts with strategic thinking and relationship-building. You'll have the opportunity to lead high-impact media programs, counsel clients, mentor team members and contribute to the continued growth of Zeno's earned media capabilities.
About the Role:

Media Strategy & Program Leadership: Develop and execute earned media strategies that align with client objectives, business priorities and key communications moments, from corporate announcements and thought leadership initiatives to earnings and business milestones.

Corporate Storytelling & Narrative Development: Help clients identify and shape compelling stories that build reputation, elevate leadership voices and engage key stakeholders across business and industry audiences.

Media Relations & Coverage Generation: Build and maintain relationships with business, trade and top-tier media while proactively identifying opportunities that generate meaningful coverage and measurable impact.

Executive & Spokesperson Support: Prepare and counsel executives and spokespeople for media interactions, interviews and events while helping ensure successful media engagement experiences.

Client Management & Strategic Counsel: Serve as a trusted day-to-day advisor, providing recommendations, navigating media opportunities and helping clients make informed communications decisions.

Industry Intelligence & Opportunity Identification: Monitor media, industry and cultural trends to identify emerging opportunities, risks and story angles that support client objectives.

Team Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor junior team members, support team development and contribute to a collaborative environment that encourages learning, partnership and high-quality work.
About You:

6+ years of experience in earned media, media relations, public relations or corporate communications within an agency or other fast-paced environment.

Proven success building and maintaining relationships with national business, trade and top-tier media.

Strong understanding of reputation management and today's evolving media landscape across traditional and emerging channels.

Demonstrated ability to identify newsworthy stories and develop narratives that resonate with media and stakeholders.

Experience securing earned coverage across business, trade, broadcast, print and digital media.

Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills, with experience developing media materials, presentations and strategic recommendations.

Experience counseling clients and contributing to communications strategies and media programs.

Strong presentation and communication skills, with confidence presenting recommendations to clients and internal teams.

Experience managing multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.

Collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.

Curiosity about the evolving role of earned media and its connection to business, culture and reputation.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting Fortune 500 brands.

Experience in retail, grocery, home improvement, logistics or related industries.

Experience providing media training and spokesperson preparation.

Experience contributing to new business pitches and agency thought leadership initiatives.
Pay Range: $100,000 - $120,000 USD/yr.
An employee 's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region- specific benefits.
