Procurement Manager – Social Housing
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with a background in
social housing.
This role would also suit a qualified Building Inspector or Quantity Surveyor
with social housing experience looking to transition into procurement. You
will also need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Job details
Working as part of a small team supporting multiple clients, you will
assist the Senior Management Team in delivering all aspects of procurement and
governance activities. You will approach tasks with diligence, accuracy, and
attention to detail, applying your knowledge of public sector procurement
procedures to help ensure the consistent delivery of a high quality, value
driven service to clients.
What you will do
- Lead the development and delivery of client procurement strategies from project inception through to completion.
- Prepare and manage comprehensive procurement documentation, including specifications, contract documentation, KPIs and pricing frameworks.
- Oversee end-to-end tender processes, including contractor engagement, evaluations, moderation panels, interviews and structured feedback.
- Manage stakeholder communications, chair client meetings and ensure accurate reporting, minutes and assessment summaries are produced on time.
- Undertake detailed data and pricing analysis and prepare accurate reports to support informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with Procurement Act requirements, regulatory standards and company policies, including ethical sourcing and diversity objectives.
Who you are
- A commercially astute procurement professional with demonstrable experience in public sector procurement, notably under the Procurement Act 2023.
- We are open to candidates from a law background/ legal grad.
- Conversant innating high contract value procurement processes with confidence, accuracy and strong governance oversight.
- Working towards CIPS (desirable) and PRINCE2 qualified (desirable).
- Knowledgeable in procurement legislation and regulatory compliance, with the ability to manage complex tender processes effectively.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, capable of leading multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and rigour.
- An effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills, able to build productive relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.
- Analytical and solutions-focused, using data and sound judgement to support value-driven outcomes while maintaining professionalism and accountability.
