Restorative Aide

Schedule: Full Time | 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday | 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

What You'll Do In This Role:
The Restorative Aide plays a vital role in helping LifeCircles
participants stay active, mobile, and independent. Through movement-based
activities and restorative therapy, this position empowers participants to
maintain their strength, function, and quality of life. Working alongside the
therapy team, the Restorative Aide delivers person-centered support in both
the LifeCircles center and community settings, making a meaningful difference
every day.
Key Responsibilities
Therapy Collaboration
- Collaborate with Physical Therapy / Occupational Therapy to deliver individual and group restorative therapy sessions tailored to participant needs.
- Follow individualized care plans and assist with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises as directed by Physical Therapy / Occupational Therapy.
Movement & Recreational Therapy
- Work with the Recreational Therapy team to integrate movement-based activities into the day center, promoting physical engagement and wellness.
- Contribute to the development of movement challenges and educational programs to support participants' physical and social health.
Service Delivery & Participant Wellbeing
- Provide therapy services in various settings, including the day center, homes, and community, to meet each participant's needs.
- Ensure the physical and emotional wellbeing of participants by prioritizing their needs and offering respectful, compassionate care.
Department Support & Safety
- Assist with daily tasks in the therapy department, including managing Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and other necessary resources.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure proper care, maintaining a safe environment for both participants and staff.
Documentation & Communication
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of services provided, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully, supporting participants' autonomy and dignity in all interactions.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Preferred Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Assistant, Certified Nurse Aide, Rehab Tech, or Restorative Aide
- Comfortable in self-directed daily work
- One year of experience working with the frail and elderly
- Strong desire to work in a team-based model of care
- Organized with excellent management and communication skills
- Must possess current CPR certification or be willing and able to obtain as offered by LifeCircles
- Must have reliable transportation and a current valid Michigan driver’s license
