CNC OPERATOR

Job Purpose:
- The CNC Operator at 3-Dimensional Services Group is responsible for
operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to
produce precision parts and components. The role requires a strong
understanding of machine operations and the ability to interpret technical
drawings and specifications to ensure high-quality production standards are
met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling,
grinding, milling, and turning.
- Interpret and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to
determine the appropriate machine settings and adjustments.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance
machining and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure optimal
performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve
efficiency.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet the
required specifications and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine
settings, adjustments, and maintenance performed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working
environment.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or
certification in CNC operation is preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing
environment.
- Proven track record of setting up, adjusting, and maintaining CNC machines
to ensure optimal performance.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and
schematics.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operations.
- Ability to use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers,
and gauges.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving CNC machine issues to minimize
downtime.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality
work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part
of a team.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and
supervisors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and
quality standards.
