SENIOR DATA SCIENTIST

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Act as a technical supervisor and coach for junior team members (Data Scientists)

2. Manage and support project pipeline and delivery for own projects and junior team members' projects.

3. Initiate and drive Data Science projects to completion with minimal guidance

4. Translate business problems from different departments into well-defined data science initiatives

5. Build and validate data modelling hypothesis for advanced data science initiatives

6. Gather, validate, process, prepare and explore data in order to find hidden insights and patterns

7. Analyse data patterns to extract knowledge, generate effective recommendations for advanced data science and machine problems

8. Apply advanced knowledge in statistics and data-mining to see beyond the numbers and understand how customers interact with bank's products and services

9. Research and build complex data science and machine learning algorithms to solve various business problems

10. Work closely with stakeholders and executive leadership to communicate modelling results, insights and data-driven business recommendations

1. Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

Day-to-day Operations

1. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the Analytics & Data Management department to ensure continuity of work

Compliance

1. Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB's sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks
