Certified Pharmacy Technician II

The Pharmacy Technician II Certified Retail Specialty performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. Working under moderate supervision, this role helps to maintain the workflow, inventory, billing and other pharmacy processes.
Essential Job Function:
- Receives and transcribes orders, answers phones, and sells prescriptions in order to maintain the pharmacy workflow.
- Assists in inventory maintenance.
- Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians.
- Helps mentor employees through training and orientation processes.
- Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives.
- Delivers quality customer service to every patient.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Required: 2 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire. Registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
