Senior Specialist - HSE Training

This role focuses on equipping internal trainers, supervisors, and employees with the knowledge and skills required to conduct effective HSE training, promote a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Core Responsibilities: -

Design, develop, and deliver “Train the Trainer” programs for HSE instructors and supervision.

Conduct training sessions on HSE topics such as hazard identification, risk assessment, PPE usage, fire safety, first aid, confined space entry, and emergency response.

Mentor and evaluate internal trainers to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with company HSE training standards.

Review, update, and improve existing HSE training materials and documentation.

Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps in HSE competencies across departments.

Ensure all HSE training programs align with local and international regulations (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001, and environmental standards).

Develop and maintain training matrices, attendance records, and certification logs.

Monitor the effectiveness of training through assessments, audits, and on-site observations.

Coordinate with project managers and safety officers to schedule and deliver site-specific HSE training.

Promote a positive safety culture by encouraging proactive behavior and continuous improvement.
Educational and Technical Qualifications:|
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, OSHA, or equivalent.
- Train the Trainer certification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent) is mandatory.

- Written and spoken English is essential
- Knowledge of Arabic will be an added value
Years of Experience:|
- Minimum 8 years of experience in HSE roles, with at least 2 years in a training or coaching capacity
Nature of Experience:|
- Strong knowledge of local and international HSE laws, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt training content for diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
