Shipping and Receiving lead

Full-time | Steady work | Room to move up |Pay: $25.00 an hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Oversee the loading/unloading of trucks and verify incoming/outgoing shipments
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and cycle counts
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to resolve issues
  • Train, mentor, and support warehouse staff
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures
  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and freight paperwork
  • Monitor workflow and recommend process improvements

Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse leadership
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and logistics processes
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred)
  • Solid computer skills (ERP/WMS experience a plus)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Physical Demands:

  • This role requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling materials throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 75 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Frequent use of hands and arms to operate warehouse tools and equipment
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
