A EHS Specialist is responsible for leading and integrating quality
assurance, health and safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across operations. This role ensures products and processes meet regulatory and internal standards, maintain a safe work environment, and continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Management
-
Develop, implement, and maintain a robust quality management system to meet customer and regulatory expectations.

Establish and monitor quality metrics, KPIs, and performance indicators.

Investigate quality issues, root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Oversee product compliance with internal and external standards (e.g., Food Safety, ISO, FDA, OSHA).

Lead audits, inspections, and supplier quality assessments.
-
Train employees on quality standards, tools, and problem-solving methods.
Safety Management
-
Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures compliant with regulations.

Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.

Provide safety training and promote a strong safety culture.

Monitor and remove workplace hazards (biological, physical, chemical).
-
Maintain accurate incident and compliance records.
Continuous Improvement (CI)
-
Lead plant or operational CI initiatives using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.

Identify process inefficiencies and recommend automation or tooling solutions.
-
Embed internal control programs into daily operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational risk reduction and efficiency gains.
Education & Certifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial, or quality management; MBA preferred, or demonstrated work experience in manufacturing setting (5-10 yrs)

Certifications such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), ISO, Lean Six Sigma, or OSHA 5S are highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, statistical process control, and risk-based governance.

Expertise in safety compliance, hazard identification, and incident prevention.

Proficiency in lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen tools.

Work Environment
