** About the Role:**__

As an Accessibility Tester, you will:

  • Collaborate and communicate closely with key stakeholders in Design, Product Management, and Product Engineering to support testing efforts throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the Testing Lead to guarantee on-time completion, precision, and alignment with expectations for all testing requests.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in products of high complexity with an ability to operate independently without extensive direction.
  • Maintain high quality and productivity against the team average consistently.
  • Act as backup to Lead Tester in the designated PODs.
  • Participate in creating and maintaining process documentation in partnership with subject matter experts.
  • Suggest process improvement ideas, provide feedback on testing tools, applications, and process.
  • Contribute to the success of organizational initiatives by driving them at team level.
  • Seek and share candid feedback.
  • Lead by example in creating a positive, supportive team environment that encourages collaboration, innovation and respectful discussion.
  • Ensure that Thomson Reuter’s accessibility policy and guidelines are followed.
  • Stay abreast of evolving accessibility standards and trends in the industry.
  • Continuously develop skills and knowledge in the field of accessibility testing.

** About You:**

You're a fit for the role of Accessibility Tester if you have:

  • BA/BS in information science, information design, computer science, related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of testing experience in software development, web development or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an accessibility related field.
  • Understanding of WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines.
  • Expert level understanding of assistive technologies and accessibility-related software including JAWS® and NVDA and automated testing tools.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar for logging and tracking bugs.
  • Demonstrated success facilitating testing efforts across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated success creating test plans and scripts.
  • Ability to influence and define processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience interfacing with high level stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to influence and be able to effectively deal with ambiguous situations and make decisions.
