Location:
This position will initially be based in West Chicago, IL and will
permanently relocate to our Northbrook, IL facility.
Shift Options:

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Position Summary
The CNC Machine Operator I produces machined parts under close supervision by operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines. This position provides a hands-on opportunity to learn CNC machining through our structured training program , making it ideal for individuals looking to build a career in manufacturing.
Upon successful completion of training, employees will be expected to maintain high quality and safety standards, ensure accurate production documentation, and uphold a clean and organized work environment.
To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for the position.

Key Responsibilities
-
Understand and follow quality requirements for machined components
-
Perform visual inspections to ensure workmanship standards and verify parts are free of contamination
-
Conduct dimensional inspections using appropriate gauges and complete inspection logs
-
Read and interpret basic blueprints and component drawings
-
Learn and adjust CNC machine offsets to bring components back within specification
-
Update daily production boards with output, quality, and safety metrics
-
Identify cycle times and calculate production rates
-
Use scales to weigh and count production pieces
-
Maintain clean and organized workstations and gauge tables
-
Follow company guidelines for machine cleaning and end-of-shift housekeeping
-
Remove chips as required and place in designated material locations
-
Record heat lot numbers accurately
-
Maintain clear and legible written documentation
Qualifications
-
1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
-
Ability to read basic technical drawings and follow written instructions
-
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
-
Ability to work in a team-oriented production environment
