Mechanic II
at Alamance Skin Center
The Mechanic II completes corrective requests and preventive maintenance to resolve and anticipate building systems problems. Working under limited supervision, this role minimizes operational disruptions in the hospital and delivers service in a timely manner. This is a first shift position.
Essential Job Function
- Tests and repairs equipment and orders replacement parts as needed to deliver timely service.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area in order to minimize risks and service disruptions.
- Prepares documentation of work orders, reports, and estimates for management review in line with compliance guidelines.
- Communicates effectively with internal and external teams to make repairs and deliver correct status updates.
- Completes rounds of equipment inspection to ensure that proper tools and equipment are being utilized to eliminate risk to staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Required: 5 years of experience in multi-craft and maintenance trades with at least 3 years in a hospital/healthcare environment
**Licensure /Certification/Listing **
- Required: Valid Driver's License (if driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management)
