Inventory Specialist

Pay Range: $20.00 -$25.00 an hour
AMD Distribution is seeking an organized individual who is interested in a long-term role to join our team as aninventory specialist!
**Key responsibilities: **
Inspecting Inventory:
They inspect inventory for damage, defects, or spoilage, and ensure that stock
levels are adequate.
Managing Deliveries:
Inventory specialists coordinate the receipt and storage of incoming
deliveries, as well as the preparation and shipping of outgoing orders.
Inventory Control:
They implement and maintain inventory control systems to optimize stock levels
and minimize costs.
Reporting:
Inventory specialists often generate reports on inventory levels, stockouts,
and other relevant metrics.
Communication:
They may communicate with vendors, managers, and other staff to coordinate
inventory activities.
**Preferred qualifications: **
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an Inventory role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using office equipment and basic computer applications.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Physical demands:

The position requires the ability to move throughout the workspace to inspect inventory, access storage areas, and handle materials; lift, carry, or move items typically up to 25-35 pounds, with assistance or mechanical aids available for heavier items; use hands and fingers to handle inventory, operate office equipment, and work with computer systems; visually inspect products for damage or discrepancies; and communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and supervisors. Work may involve standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods depending on daily tasks.
