Workshop Technician

We're looking for a Workshop Technician to join our team, preparing, testing, maintaining, and mobilising a diverse range of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment. If you enjoy solving problems and working hands on, we'd love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Testing and spooling hydraulic and electrical winches.
- Preparing, testing, and commissioning diesel and electrical power packs
- Leading and supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), including client demonstrations
- Conducting pre-delivery and post-rental inspections
- Carrying out maintenance, servicing, repairs, and equipment refurbishment
- Supporting fabrication, fitting, welding, painting, and workshop preparation activities
- Ensuring equipment certification, calibration, and compliance requirements are maintained
- Completing inspection reports, FAT documentation, and maintenance records
- Maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient workshop environment
What experience you'll bring:

Experience in a workshop, mechanical, or technician role

Previous experience working with winches and hydraulic power units
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Good knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical equipment
- Strong practical skills with tools, machinery, and fault finding
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive approach and the ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication and basic IT skills
- Experience with wire rope spooling, winches, hydraulic power units, and hydraulic systems is beneficial
