Make purchases and supplies of direct material for the production area, in such a way as to ensure continuity according to the production program and have zero-line stoppages due to missing materials.
Key Responsibilities
Review of MRP requirements, placement, expediting, cancellation and
rescheduling of purchase orders.
· In the case of short material for production, follow up and ensure
that it arrives on time. Lead with the departments involved until the material
is delivered.
· Feedback of the shorts in the appropriate reports such as the
shortages report and the expedited report.
· Maintain inventory at optimal levels according to needs.
· In case of obsolete inventory, keep the information updated in the
quarterly obsolete report and follow up on its disposition within the
department.
· Review of production requirements through MRP in JDE.
· Analysis of price variations derived from material purchases; in
reports of annual variations as well as in reports of orders placed (buyer
exception report).
· Follow-up to the first articles (FAI).
· Obtaining quality certificates for the products that apply.
· Provide complete information and documentation to the Import/Export
area for the importation of raw materials. As well as the certificates of
origin (NAFTA) at the beginning of the year.
· Coordination of shipments of Franklin Raw Material and/or packaging
material
· Comply with the quality objectives of the position and support the
strategic ones of the company.
· Comply with the guidelines of the quality system.
· Carry out their work with quality, complying with the required
standards.
· You must keep the company's own tools and equipment in good
condition, clean and safe to work with.
· Participation in the company's continuous improvement projects.
· Follow up on the corrective actions of the Quality System.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
Minimum 3 years experience in:
· Suppliers evaluation
· Requirements, placement and expediting of purchase orders
· Inventory management
· Knowledge of import / export
· Coordination of shipments of raw material / packaging
Computer Skills
• Intermediate: Word processing/typing, presentation/PowerPoint.
• Advanced: Alphanumeric data entry, spreadsheet.
