Position Overview
The Strategic Sourcing Analyst supports H.B. Fuller’s packaging sourcing efforts by combining data-driven analysis with hands-on supplier engagement. This role focuses on direct sourcing activities, competitive bidding, and spend optimization across industrial packaging materials. Working closely with sourcing managers and cross-functional partners, the analyst contributes to supply assurance, cost management, and continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities

Source and manage industrial packaging categories.

Conduct RFQs, competitive bids, and supplier evaluations to support category strategies

Analyze spend, pricing, and volume data to identify cost-saving and compliance opportunities

Maintain accurate pricing, contracts, and supplier information within ERP systems

Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve pricing and invoice discrepancies

Track category volumes and performance against contracts, rebates, and commitments

Support system and process improvements related to sourcing and purchasing workflows

Rotate spend responsibility across categories in alignment with team priorities
Minimum Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

1–2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or operations

Experience working with suppliers, pricing, quotes, or bids
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP or purchasing systems
-
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Requirements

Experience sourcing packaging or industrial materials

Exposure to RFQ/RFP processes and bid analysis

Familiarity with spend analysis, forecasting, or contract compliance
