We’re excited to welcome a reliable and enthusiastic Dental Assistant/Receptionist to our friendly team at Lumino The Palms. This fixed- term position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a patient- focused environment, and is passionate about delivering outstanding service.
In this dual-role position, your primary focus will be chairside dental assisting, while also providing reception support when required. At Lumino The Palms, we're committed to delivering high-quality dental care and creating positive experiences for every patient who walks through our doors.
As a Dental Assistant, you will:
- Assist clinicians during a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain high standards of sterilisation and infection control
- Monitor and manage clinical stock and supplies
- Help create a calm, comfortable, and positive experience for patients
As a Receptionist, you will:
- Welcome patients with warmth and professionalism
- Manage appointments, enquiries, and bookings
- Process payments and complete general administrative tasks
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice
No two days are the same, and you'll be joining a supportive team that genuinely values your contribution.
Previous Dental Assistant experience is preferred; however, we are also open to candidates who are new to the profession and bring a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided for the right person.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Previous Dental Assistant experience (preferred but not essential)
- Experience with sterilisation procedures and/or a strong customer service background
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, team-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confidence using computers and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- A professional, patient-focused attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
- A valid NZ Work rights and live locally
Role Details
Hours:
- Monday to Wednesday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Contract Term:
- Fixed-term from 6 July 2026 to 25 May 2027
