Position Description
We are looking for an intern who will develop the core skills required
to work within the local Medical Affairs Department.
Alongside the company tutor, the trainee will develop the basics skills necessary to work within the Medical Affairs department, collaborating in close contact with local functions and providing support for the department's activities.
We offer a dynamic and collaborative working environment, training and mentoring from experienced professionals, as well as involvement in strategic projects and customer-related activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Support research, updating and analysis of scientific literature relevant to Santen Italy product Portfolio
- Support Medical Affairs team in the implementation of medical education activities and HCP engagement.
- Support the organization, documentation and archiving of advisory boards and scientific meetings involving HCPs, in compliance with internal procedures.
- Support the Medical Affairs team in the preparation, documentation and review process of scientific responses to unsolicited medical information requests, under supervision.
- Maintain accurate documentation and archiving of Medical Affairs activities using internal digital systems
- Contribute to the development of scientific training materials for Santen Italy employees and update existing material.
- Support Pharma Affairs Coordinator in preparing, updating and archiving HCP engagement and contract-related documentation
- Support Medical Affairs department in the reviewing process of scientific content of promotional materials prepared by marketing.
Functional & Technical competencies required
- Ability to learn and effectively describe clinical, scientific and medical information
- In the context of scientific data, be able to define and understand the question, search for an answer, analyze/ evaluate the data and formulate/deliver a response.
- Proficiency with MS Office (MS Word and MS PowerPoint)
- Ability to accurately review scientific text with attention to details
- Take ownership of delegated projects
- Demonstrate an open, supportive, team-oriented style
DESIDERABLE:
- Capability to work independently, creatively and innovatively
- Capacity to prioritize/time management
- Ability to present scientific data to internal stakeholders
- Expert use of Pubmed or other scientific database
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel)
- Ability to leverage AI tools to support activitie
