The Opportunity:

Make your mark while you grow your career! Canadian Natural’s Conventional Royalty team is looking for a motivated and analytical professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex challenges. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the monthly royalty payment process, including account analysis, reconciliations, and payment execution. Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you will gain valuable experience leading meaningful projects that strengthen your critical thinking, project management, and teamwork skills. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact while growing your career with one of Canada’s leading energy companies.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyze, manage and reconcile royalty payables accounts with timely response to queries
  • Work with cross functional groups such as Production Accounting, Commercial Operations, Joint Venture Accounting and Legal
  • Assist with various monthly and annual reporting requirements
  • Identify and recommend process improvements
  • Assist with the review and validation of material non-operated annual throughput adjustments
  • Complete other projects as assigned

What You Bring to the Role:

  • 0-4 years of related accounting and/or industry experience with a solid foundation in accounting principles, financial analysis, and business concepts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a detail‑oriented approach to reviewing data and delivering accurate results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with large data sets and perform basic to intermediate analysis
  • Previous experience or exposure to the oil and gas or mining industry is considered an asset
