This posting will be used to fill positions in Patrol as well as the Colorado Springs Airport. About the Job: The Community Service Officer positions (CSO) are assigned to either a Patrol Division substation or the Colorado Springs Airport. CSOs operate in the field wearing a CSO uniform and driving a marked white and green “Community Service” cruiser. CSOs spend a large portion of their day in their vehicle and get in and out of the vehicle often. CSOs are dispatched to cold property crimes where the suspect is unknown. When conducting the investigation, CSOs interview victims and witnesses, process the crime scene, collect evidence, and complete thoroughly written police reports. This...
