Senior Domain Architect (Network)

The summary of the role:

The Domain Architect (Network) based in Budapest MOL Campus plays a pivotal role in defining and steering the domain-specific IT architecture, ensuring adherence to standards, and facilitating future-focused strategic initiatives.

The Domain Architect focuses on strategic future planning, overseeing technology selection, providing support for assessments, managing the domain's capability and application landscape, and making critical domain architecture decisions. Additionally, they oversee the quality assurance of project architecture artifacts, and supervise project architects within the domain

Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage NETWORK architecture standards, principles, and policies aligned with enterprise standards.

  • Lead tool and technology selection within the domain(s) to meet strategic objectives.

  • Support SG2&3 assessments by providing domain-specific expertise and reviews.

  • Make critical domain architecture decisions, influencing projects and initiatives within the domain.

  • Ensure quality assurance of project architecture artifacts at SG4&5 within the domain(s).

  • Actively engage as a member of the IT Architecture Governance Board.

  • Develop BRD Conceptual Designs within the domain(s). (BRD: Business Requirements Document)

  • Define, publish and maintain domain-specific standards (RA, ABB, SBB) aligned with enterprise guidelines. (RA: Reference Architecture, ABB: Architecture Building Block, SBB: Solution Building Block)

  • Responsible for the creation of group level NETWORK CAPEX plan under Infrastructure.

  • Responsible for implementing special network development activities satisfying business needs.

Requitrements:

  • Advanced technical/IT degree (university, college)

  • Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a domain-focused architectural role.

  • Exposure to working in international or multinational environments

  • Solid understanding of process, application, data, and infrastructure architectures, particularly in the specified domain(s).

  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, frameworks, methodologies and best practices such as TOGAF, C4, DAMA, ITIL, APQC, UML, and others

  • Network solutions: Classic LAN-WAN (L2-L3, BGP, DMVPN, etc.), Checkpoint and FMC management, Software defined DNA and ACI, SD WAN (Fortinet, Meraki), Zscaler, ISE based NAC, SGT, Tufin,

  • Hands-on experience in LAN/WAN design

  • Experience in Datacenter network design: HA, DR and Hybrid Cloud solution

  • CISCO Call Manager and IP telephony knowledge – advantage

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking

  • Autonomy in managing tasks, handling ambiguity

  • Proven experience in facilitating consensus among cross-functional teams within a domain context.

  • Strategic thinking to align domain-specific IT architecture with business objectives.

  • Understanding of project quality assurance processes

  • Proficiency in stakeholder management and change management

  • Sound risk issue and impact management capabilities specific

  • Effective organizational and time management skills.

  • Communicative English language skills
