Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Management Accountant to
support financial reporting, month-end close activities, reconciliations,
budgeting support, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will
work closely with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure accurate
financial records, timely reporting, and adherence to accounting standards and
company policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal postings and reporting adjustments.
- Prepare and maintain accruals, prepayments, provisions, and reclassification journals.
- Perform bank, balance sheet, intercompany, and control account reconciliations.
- Review and analyze profit & loss accounts and balance sheets, identifying key variances.
- Assist in cash flow monitoring and financial forecasting activities.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation accurately.
- Support preparation and submission of indirect tax returns such as VAT/GST where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with statutory audits and provide supporting schedules and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll, and Treasury teams.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities within finance operations.

Skills & Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in Management Accounting, Financial Reporting, Record-to-Report (R2R), or General Ledger accounting.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Experience in month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, basic financial analysis).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage, Xero, Dynamics, or similar accounting platforms.
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and compliance frameworks such as:
- US GAAP
- IFRS
- UK GAAP / FRS 102
- VAT/GST compliance
- SOX controls (desirable)
- FCA/FCRA regulatory awareness (where applicable)
- Exposure to audit support and statutory reporting.
