JOB TITLE: Process Technician - High School Student

REPORTS TO: Process Engineering Manager

**FLSA: ** Non-exempt

JOB SUMMARY: Job shadow and assist the Process Engineer or Process Technician to coordinate the process, methods, and sequence to produce injection molded plastic parts in Micro Mold Production or Small Mold Production. Assist in providing support to production, to ensure dimensionally accurate parts. Meet or exceed the expectation of the customer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Job shadow and assist the Process Engineer or Process Technician to ensure that the most efficient methods of processing for manufacture are used within the specification and constraints of the part.

2. Job shadow and assist the Process Engineer or Process Technician to optimize manufacturing efficiency by using knowledge of processes and production equipment capabilities, production methods and quality control standards.

3. Job shadow and assist the Process Engineer or Process Technician to trouble shoot in a logical, systematic manner. Perform minor maintenance on molds and machines. Make recommendation and problem solve to achieve outcomes desired by the company and the customer.

4. Job shadow and assist the Process Engineer or Process Technician to establish and maintain processing parameters for conventional molds or micro molds that can be used as a reference on all shifts. Complete and follow the qualified process parameters in quick inspection every time the mold runs.

5. Performs duties in accordance with Accumold's Core Values, Policies, and Objectives. This includes the Quality Policy and Environmental Policy. Other duties as required. **

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

1. **_Education/Experience_** _.  _High school education coursework required.  ~~ ~~
2. **_Computer Skills_** _.  _Ability to operate personal computer, copy machine and telephone required.  Proven accuracy in keyboarding skills to enter data correctly and efficiently.   Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word preferred.
3. **_Language Skills_** _._  Proven reading and written communication skills required with the ability to comprehend and interpret instructions and standards from manuals or other materials.  
4. **_Mathematical Skills_** _.  _Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
5. **_Reasoning Ability_** _._    Ability to interpret standards or guidelines and apply to actual variables required.  Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. 
6. **_Other Skills and Abilities_** _._  Attend classes or training to enhance and update knowledge and skills.   Ability to work with various personnel in departments to reach consensus on work related issues.  Must be able to maintain a professional relationship with fellow workers and the public.
7. **_Supervisory Responsibilities_** _._    None. 
8. **_Physical Demands_** _._    While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is frequently required to sit/stand and move throughout the facility.  Uses hands to manipulate very small parts or tweezers.  Sense of touch may be used to detect texture, burs, and edges.  Normal or corrected to normal vision is required with good color vision, close vision, and ability to use microscope and adjust focus.   May be required to move or transport up to 55 lbs.
9. **_Work Environment_** _.   _The duties of this job are executed in a climate-controlled environment with few temperature or humidity extremes.  Noise levels will vary from very low to moderate depending on the location that the work is performed within the facility.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Use of safety glasses is required.
