Environmental Group Leader
at Alamance Skin Center
The Environmental Group Leader maintains cleanliness around the halls, patient rooms, and offices of the hospital. Working under general supervision, this role assists with the supervision and training of staff in order to meet the daily needs of the department.
Essential Job Function:
- Assigns tasks to the front-line staff in order to meet the daily operational needs of the department.
- Completes necessary paperwork in order to effectively document completed tasks.
- Monitors equipment function in order to resolve any operational issues that arise.
- Documents and reports any unclean or unsafe areas that need complex attention in order to minimize risk to staff and patients.
- Monitors the departmental budgetary goals while meeting the supply needs of staff.
- Provides adequate tools and supplies for staff in order for the completion of cleaning tasks in a timely fashion.
- Accepts service requests from customers and patient safety organizations, meanwhile also coordinating bed throughput on EPIC, the organization's electronic health records system.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Required: 2 years housekeeping experience or 1 year dispatcher experience with 6 months housekeeping experience.
