Practice Leader III

The Practice Leader III is responsible for staff management and daily departmental operations. Working under limited supervision, this position addresses performance issues, develops action plans, and facilitates the onboarding of new staff, APPs, and physicians, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support for their work environment.
Essential Job Function:
- Manages assigned administrative and clinical staff; recruits, hires, and terminates personnel as needed to maintain efficient workflows, ensures adherence to policies, and schedules coverage for vacant positions.
- Reviews timekeeping (Kronos), conducts employee evaluations, utilizes iCompass, and conducts stay interviews to support staff development and retention.
- Manages the training of new employees in administrative workflows, supervises established protocols for administrative activities, and ensures competency checkoffs for all staff to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Ensures a positive guest experience by enforcing Steps of Service protocols and deescalating situations when necessary, enhancing patient satisfaction and clinic reputation.
- Serves as a resource for team members helping all workflows as volume and staffing require, contributing to efficient clinic operations, and managing the ordering and maintenance of office and clinical supplies as needed.
- Measures and implements performance improvement activities to enhance clinic efficiency and patient care quality, aligning with industry standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: Associate's Degree, preferably in business, finance or healthcare related field or High School Diploma with 6 years of medical practice experience and PPMC Certification or equivalent.
- Preferred: BS/BA in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business or related field.
Experience:
- Required: 4yr years proven medical practice experience; Prior history (formal) of team leadership; Proficiency in EPIC CAD/Prelude, etc.; Customer service experience in a healthcare setting. Without a degree, must have 6 years of medical practice experience.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Completion of MGMA Principles Practice Management Certificate or Practice Management Institute CMOM certification within 90 days of hire IF No degree, must have PPMC or equivalent certification at time of hire.
