We are seeking an Extrusion Operator Trainee to join our team. This role
is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of extrusion equipment at our Sugar Land facility. You will learn and perform all aspects of extrusion operations, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities

Follow all safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Order resin and packaging materials; understand various resin types.

Perform job setup and changeovers for extrusion equipment.

Operate and troubleshoot extrusion machines to ensure optimal performance.

Conduct quality checks and address nonconforming issues promptly.

Record and track production output and scrap; label and package rolls.

Palletize and transport materials using a walkie.

Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures as needed.

Maintain and clean extrusion equipment (e.g., screen changes, blade replacements).

Keep the department organized and clean.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Basic computer skills; experience with web-based software and ERP systems preferred.

Basic math skills; must pass a New Hire Base Assessment Test (arithmetic and mechanical aptitude).

Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Prior manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

Experience working 12-hour shifts is required.
