We are seeking an Extrusion Operator Trainee to join our team. This role

is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of extrusion equipment at our Sugar Land facility. You will learn and perform all aspects of extrusion operations, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

  • Order resin and packaging materials; understand various resin types.

  • Perform job setup and changeovers for extrusion equipment.

  • Operate and troubleshoot extrusion machines to ensure optimal performance.

  • Conduct quality checks and address nonconforming issues promptly.

  • Record and track production output and scrap; label and package rolls.

  • Palletize and transport materials using a walkie.

  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures as needed.

  • Maintain and clean extrusion equipment (e.g., screen changes, blade replacements).

  • Keep the department organized and clean.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Basic computer skills; experience with web-based software and ERP systems preferred.

  • Basic math skills; must pass a New Hire Base Assessment Test (arithmetic and mechanical aptitude).

  • Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

  • Prior manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience working 12-hour shifts is required.
