Executive Office Intern

This internship position is a time-limited, temporary position with a start date and orientation on January 25th, 2027. The total number of hours that an intern can work during this timeframe is 250 hours. Please include your GPA on your resume The Annie Penn Hospital Executive Office Internship provides a hands-on opportunity for a student to gain firsthand experience in hospital administration, executive leadership, project management, marketing and communications, event planning, community engagement, and rural health strategy. Working closely with the Senior Executive Assistant and Executive Leadership Team, the intern will gain behind-the-scenes exposure to hospital operations while supporting meetings, special projects, events, communications, and community initiatives. This experience is ideal for students interested in healthcare administration, business, marketing, communications, project management, rural health, and serving rural communities.
Essential Job Function:
- Attend selected leadership, project, and community meetings and assist with meeting minutes and follow-up items.
- Support the Executive Office with special projects, research, presentations, reports, and communications.
- Assist with planning and coordinating hospital events, employee engagement activities, leadership meetings, and community events.
- Support marketing and communication efforts, including flyers, presentations, announcements, social media, and promotional materials.
- Help coordinate project timelines, action items, event logistics, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with hospital departments, executive leaders, and community partners on various initiatives.
- Gain exposure to initiatives focused on rural healthcare strategy, community needs, and improving access to care.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Education:
- Required: Must be in process of a college-level degree in a related field and a student in good standing.
- Junior, senior, or graduate student with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
