AVP, Statutory Accounting

Responsible for external statutory financial reporting for insurance companies and maintaining compliance for internal and external vendors.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage the preparation and filings of the US statutory financial statements and regulatory reports.

Manage staff and provide guidance, prioritize workload, and ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of statutory filings including quarterly and annual statements, taxes, and regulatory disclosures.

Review and approve statutory journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for regulatory disclosures.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, NAIC proposals and adoptions, and updates to Accounting Practices and Procedural manual.

Liaise with external and internal auditors.

Assist with state examination request and other regulatory request.
