Production Manager

As the Production Manager, you will oversee, plan and organize manufacturing
operations to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget
and meet quality and safety standards. This role drives continuous
improvement, establishes manufacturing processes, ensures effective use of
resources, and supports long-term operational excellence. The Production
Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams and provides leadership to
supervisors and production staff.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Leading daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Plans and monitors capacity, resource allocation, and production schedules to maximize efficiency.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, 5S and Six Sigma practices.
- Drives operational performance against budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators.
- Contributes to organizational planning and long-term operational strategy as part of the management team.
- Implements and enforces safety standards to comply with legal and company requirements.
- Ensures manufacturing processes support company quality standards and continuous improvement efforts.
- Monitors product quality issues and initiates corrective actions to maintain consistent output.
- Maintains performance standards for production lines and employees.
- Collaborates with and helps direct production planning, material flow, and resource utilization to optimize processes and resources.
- Reviews and presents operational reports such as productivity, safety, financial, and production planning updates.
- Enhances coordination and collaboration between production, support services, scheduling, purchasing and other departments.
- Prepares and presents operational status reports to management team to communicate production and budgetary projections and status updates.
- Applies business acumen, budgeting and cost control activities and measures
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervises supervisors and/or non-supervisory employees.
- Responsible for hiring, training, performance evaluations, and addressing employee relations issues.

What You Need:
- Strong knowledge of production and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to interpret policies, safety rules, operating instructions, and technical documents.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Maintains confidentiality related to business and personnel information.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, operational management, leadership or a related field (required).
- 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing, production operations, or a related field (required).
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience (preferred).
Computer Skills:
Intermediate proficiency with spreadsheets, Microsoft Office Suite, ERP
systems.
