*Job Summary:*
Underwriting and servicing of onshore construction & engineering risks located across the Pacific region and originating from producers predominantly located in Australia and New Zealand.
This role is part of a small start-up team. We are looking for a motivated, results driven, and customer focused self-starter. The ideal candidate is well organized, works well as an individual but takes and appreciates a collaborative approach and works well as part of a team when needed.
*Job Duties:*
· Manage customer interactions (including intermediaries and the end customer) in an efficient, courteous and timely manner, delivering high standards of responsiveness and customer satisfaction.
· Underwrite a broad variety of construction/erection projects, including CAR, EAR, DSU, Plant & Equipment, including delegated authority special acceptances.
· Engineering technical risk analysis, including but not limited to geotechnical, construction types and methodologies, occupancy and technology, protection and human factor, natural perils, external exposures, program and contractual risk.
· Insurance technical risk analysis including application of rating and natcat models, analysis and tailoring of policy schedules, wordings, endorsements etc.
· Lifecycle policy servicing including coverage amendments, credit control, etc.
· Maintain ongoing contact to intermediaries as well as customers, including participation in strategy meetings, roadshows, underwriter presentations, site surveys and other market meetings.
· Provide expert advice, guidance and coaching internally to less experienced team members, as well as externally to brokers, clients and peers; contribute to raising standards and expertise across the technical community.
· Support the departmental Regional Head in setting strategic goals, setting budgets and producing regular Management Information.
