Sport Ortho Urgent Care is an emerging outpatient practice that is part of a comprehensive orthopedic model. We are committed to offering an innovative experience to patients through an integrated approach that includes Orthopedic Physician Assistants, Physical Therapists, and Imaging Technologists.

The Opportunity
Sport Ortho Urgent Care is currently seeking a part-time MRI Technologist to join our growing team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced orthopedic environment, delivering high-quality imaging services while collaborating closely with providers and clinical staff. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-directed, and passionate about patient care.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans in accordance with physician protocols and industry standards
  • Ensure patient safety by properly screening for contraindications and providing clear instructions
  • Position patients accurately and operate MRI equipment for optimal imaging
  • Monitor patients during scans and respond appropriately to any issues
  • Perform routine quality control checks and report equipment concerns
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and functional MRI suite
  • Accurately document all procedures in the EMR system
  • Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies and procedures
  • If licensed, assist with X-ray imaging following safety and positioning protocols
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to support workflow

Qualifications:

  • Active ARRT (MRI) Certification (Required)
  • Tennessee Medical X-Ray Operator License (Preferred)
  • Graduate of an accredited radiology program
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal imaging and MRI safety protocols
  • Excellent attention to detail and patient care skills
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, walk-in orthopedic setting

Schedule & Location:

  • Part-time
  • Hours will vary based on clinic needs and patient volume
