Host/Cashier – Create Unforgettable Experiences!**
Deliver a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for guests and team members
alike. As a Host/Cashier, you’ll operate computerized point-of-sale systems,
engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, and uphold high
standards of cleanliness and quality. Bring your reliability, positive energy,

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate point of sale computer, handle financial transactions, and process orders accurately.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage spaces.
- Cleaning and stocking the venue to ensure success, rotating and organizing products to prevent spoilage.
- Completing sanitization and food safety protocols and logs with assistance and direction from management.
- Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
- Works with the Dining Room Supervisor to ensure a smooth flow of guests to the restaurant.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have or have the ability to obtain an Alaska Food Handler’s Card.
- Must have a valid alcohol safety card for the State of Alaska.
- Minimum age of 21 years is required to serve alcohol in the State of Alaska.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23kg.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
