Radiology Technician — Federal Correctional Institution, Marianna, FL
About the Role ABS is hiring a licensed Radiology Technician to provide contracted healthcare services at a federal correctional facility in Marianna, Florida. This is a stable, full-time contract position with a structured schedule and consistent hours — ideal for a rad tech who works well independently and is comfortable in a secure environment.

Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Max 40 hours/week
Duties include but are not limited to:

Perform routine radiologic procedures ordered by medical staff for the inmate population
-
Transmit, retrieve X-ray images and reports electronically; scan reports into inmates' Bureau Electronic Medical Record (BEMR)

Retrieve radiographic consults from BEMR and schedule radiographic procedures

Evaluate radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs

Independently assess and select technical exposure factors and positions for quality diagnostic exams

Independently perform all radiographic procedures: chest, bone, skull, spine, portable x-rays, etc.

Notify Radiologist or referring Physician of any preliminary abnormalities during exams

Schedule exams and maintain records; computerization and printing of daily logs and exam requisitions

Prepare, ship, and transport x-rays to/from radiologist for interpretation

Coordinate transfer of patient radiologic records to ensure continuity of care

Act as liaison between radiologist and medical staff

Conduct quality assurance tests and daily maintenance on x-ray equipment

Assist with FDA inspections and preparation for TJC and program reviews

Wear outer protective clothing and comply with CDC universal precautions at all times

Work with Clinical Director to ensure monitoring and evaluation activities are completed

Work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, racial, religious, and ethnic backgrounds
Education & Qualifications:

Must be fully licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

State licensure required (territory/commonwealth licenses accepted)

Minimum 3 years of experience

Must be CPR certified per American Heart Association or American Red Cross standards

Must have graduated from an accredited school of radiology technology

Must pass drug screening and law enforcement background check

Proof of credentials, state/federal license, CPR certification, and insurance must be submitted with quote
