Team Leader- Management Accountant

Role Purpose

The Cost Accountant is responsible for managing product and operational costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, budgeting, and profitability reporting. The role supports business decision-making through accurate cost information, financial analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering closely with Manufacturing, Operations, Procurement, and Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• • Maintain and review standard costing models.
  • Analyze material, labor, overhead, and production costs.
  • Monitor actual vs. standard costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support business decisions.

  • Perform monthly analysis of material, labor, overhead, inventory, and yield variances.
  • Investigate cost fluctuations and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare management reports on cost performance and profitability.
  • Support annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Develop product cost models and financial projections.
  • Monitor performance against budget and forecast targets.
  • Support pricing and margin improvement initiatives
  • Prepare cost-related journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain product cost structures and profitability analysis.
  • Support ERP costing processes and data integrity.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and stronger financial controls.
  • Desired Skills
  • Professional qualification required: ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, or CMA.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Accounting, or Management Accounting
  • Experience in Manufacturing, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Engineering, or Industrial sectors preferred
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
