Quality Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Manager at East West is responsible for developing and implementing processes and solutions across the electronic manufacturing lifecycle. This includes surface mount, through-hole and hand insertion, soldering (wave and selective), mechanical assembly, conformal coating, testing (in-circuit, functional, and system), and related operations. The role also leads complex technical initiatives, ensuring processes are robust, scalable, and capable of consistently delivering high-quality products in compliance with stringent regulatory and customer requirements.

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quality Leadership: Own overall product quality and drive continuous improvement through data-driven analysis
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to communicate quality issues, audit findings, and priorities
  • Team Management: Lead and develop Receiving and Final Inspection teams through hiring, training, and performance management
  • Customer & Supplier Interface: Serve as the primary quality contact, resolving customer and supplier issues
  • Quality Systems Oversight: Lead key QMS activities, including internal audits, CAPA, non-conformance management, calibration, ESD, and APQP
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to FDA, ITAR, and applicable regulatory standards
  • SPC & Metrics: Implement SPC and monitor KPIs to improve process performance
  • ISO Management: Lead external audits and maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certifications

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY & SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analysis methods
  • Familiar with FDA, ITAR, and applicable compliance requirements
  • Effective leadership, influencing, and communication skills
  • Experience conducting internal audits and leading corrective action initiatives
  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data-driven quality improvement
