We’re looking for a fun, engaging Evening Meteorologist to join our weather team in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on connecting with viewers, making complex forecasts relatable, and helping audiences prepare for what’s ahead tomorrow and through the night. If you love storytelling, severe weather coverage, and keeping a community informed during critical moments, we want you on our team.

Duties:

  • Produce and present engaging, accurate weather and occasional news reports across all platforms.
  • Write and deliver weather stories in a clear, conversational, and approachable style, not over-the-top, but full of warmth and authenticity.
  • Ensure all weather and news content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.
  • Collaborate with producers, anchors, and newsroom staff to create compelling and informative evening coverage.
  • Bring energy and creativity to storytelling whether it’s sunshine or snow, you make viewers care about what’s happening outside.

Requirements and Skills:

  • A degree in meteorology, atmospheric science, or related field.
  • Proven on-air experience delivering weathercasts that connect and engage.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills — you make the science relatable.
  • A positive, team-first attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
  • Familiarity with the latest forecasting tools and digital weather platforms.
  • Strong understanding of the field of Meteorology and a proven track record of forecasting.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

COMPENSATION RANGE:
Annual Salary: $75,000+ commensurate with experience
