We are currently seeking a Customer Account Specialist to join our team in

Sugar Land, Texas.

This is an onsite position, M-F, 8 AM - 5 PM

Position Summary

The Customer Account Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for

assigned customer accounts and plays a critical role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This position is responsible for managing customer orders throughout the entire order lifecycle, coordinating with internal departments, proactively communicating with customers, and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a

fast-paced manufacturing environment where priorities can change quickly.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships with both customers and internal teams.

  • Manage customer orders from receipt through shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.

  • Provide customers with updates regarding order status, inventory availability, production schedules, and shipping information.

  • Coordinate with Planning, Production, Scheduling, Logistics, Quality, and Sales teams to meet customer requirements and delivery expectations.

  • Research and resolve customer concerns related to orders, inventory, production, shipments, and invoicing.

  • Proactively identify potential service issues and communicate solutions before they impact the customer.

  • Monitor open orders and customer demand to ensure timely fulfillment and accurate delivery commitments.

  • Maintain and update customer records, reports, and account information within company systems.

  • Analyze data and utilize reporting tools to support customer needs and operational decision-making.

  • Effectively manage a high-volume email inbox and multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Participate in customer meetings, site visits, sales meetings, and other cross-functional activities as needed.

  • Consistently demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service, account management, order management, or customer support experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

  • Experience supporting B2B customers and managing customer orders.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally across all levels of an organization.

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and follow-through skills.

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience working with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Business Central, or similar manufacturing software preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

  • Understanding of inventory management, production scheduling, and supply chain processes is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments to achieve customer and business objectives.
