TxDOT's Fleet Operations Division is seeking up to three Equipment Mechanics I, II or III based in Austin, TX. This position supports TxDOT's mission by maintaining and repairing a wide range of wheeled vehicles, including passenger vehicles, medium- and heavy-duty trucks, and construction equipment. Fleet mechanics play a critical role in keeping Texas moving. We support daily operations and respond to emergency and inclement weather events that impact communities across the state. This position is open to both experienced mechanics and those looking to develop their skills in a structured, supportive environment.
